Becoming a MHCBS Member

Membership registration is conducted each fall prior to the start of the first rehearsal. As a member, you may attend weekly practices in one or both bands, have access to instrument rentals and music, participate in annual concert performances, vote in the AGM and are eligible to sit on the Medicine Hat Concert Band Board of Directors.

Membership and Dues

  • Membership for full-time students under the age of 25 is $1 per year.

  • Membership for all others is a donation of $149 and a $1 member fee. Charitable tax receipts are issued for all donations.

Individuals who require a paper registration form may request one by emailing mhconcertband@gmail.com.

 

MHCBS accepts cash, cheque and e-transfer for membership and donation payments. E-Transfers can be sent to mhconcertband@gmail.com. Our mailing information can be found at the bottom of the website.

Need to borrow an instrument?

The MHCBS has instruments that can be loaned out to those wishing to play, but do not own their own instrument. The cost to rent a MHCBS instrument is $75/year which covers maintenance and repair costs. Inquire to mark@mhconcertband.com or curtis@mhconcertband.com if you need access to an instrument to join the MHCBS.

Making a Donation

As the Medicine Hat Concert Band Society is a not for profit organization financial donations or donations of instruments are always appreciated.

  • Cash donations receive a charitable tax receipt.

  • Instrument donations are subject to an appraisal process and gift in kind receipts can be issued.
